Old Zero Gravity Work

Zero Gravity produced unique content for cross-cultural clients in and outside of the USA.

Through these projects, Zero Gravity’s goal was to raise awareness of global social issues and to inspire involvement within communities and across cultures. Being embedded within these cultures, Zero Gravity’s hands on approach gave the ability to give the client/community a specific set of services that relied on their direct involvement to strengthen development and maintain cultural integrity.

While Zero Gravity is no longer working in the field, I’ve maintained friendships that were forged during the years and continue to try and raise awareness of global social issues.

Project Archives

Being a veteran I was pleased to be able to produce work for the Virginia Wounded Warrior project. The productions focused on building healthy relationships while dealing with subjects ranging from post deployment issues to PTSD.

Having worked extensively in Guatemala, I was exposed to the overwhelming problem of violence against women. Especially at risk are indigenous women who are
sorely underrepresented and have no resources for protection. Femicide and violence against women
remains a problem today. The work I did in Guatemala also included productions for https://highlandsupportproject.org/ which focuses on providing resources and support of indigenous
peoples and cultures in the Guatemalan Highlands.

Adopting a child is a lengthy complex process. This
is even more challenging when adopting from an institution in a foreign country. Zero Gravity produced a documentary outlining special considerations to consider before entering into this life long commitment.

Soon after working on the adoption documentary, I found myself in Haiti for a project focusing on adoption fraud and the exploitation and trafficking of children. I was horrified to see the levels of corruption and unchecked fraud within a strained and broken government. The material shot and edited for this work has been submitted to The Hauge commission as evidence in a (at that time) open case for the clients. I’m happy to say that the target of this work was arrested by the FBI shortly after the production was complete.

I miss my time in the field and will remember these adventures forever. Over the years and many locations, I’ve come to know some awesome human beings while being exposed to a multitude of different cultures. I only hope that my work helped to make a positive impact on the communities I served.
